The Studio is the west of Scotland’s centre for those passionate about patchwork and quilting. Whether you are a beginner or a skilled stitcher looking for a new challenge, our workshops can offer you a fresh experience. The Studio is for all those who love patchwork, quilting and the diverse world of textile arts in the 21st century.
The Studio has been developed by the directors of the Loch Lomond Quilt Show, Scotland’s annual international quilting celebration; Ruth Higham, Patricia Macindoe and Isabel Paterson. The Studio is the base for the Loch Lomond Quilt Show with a specially designed studio area for regular and one off workshops.
The Studio offers weekly and monthly classes, one day workshops, special events and services. The latest programme includes weekly classes, suitable for beginners and more experienced stitchers, monthly design classes, regular Baltimore and Boutis classes, one off classes and Wednesday get together group, Makepeace. For those who wish to use the Studio on a regular basis, our unique membership scheme may be the answer. The workshop area is also available for hire by individuals and groups looking for the perfect space for their event.

The Studio is quite a distance from shops selling sewing and quilting supplies so we are now stocking a limited range of fabrics along with our own book, bag and patterns. The fabrics and other sewing supplies will be available to those attending classes at the Studio.
