The original design group: the Studio’s original design class are now advancing into the unknown, still based in the Studio and still meeting once a month, they continue to support each other and to move forwards by leaning new techniques through their own experimentation and taught sessions.

Old clothes and prepare to get messy!
Latex gloves are provided. Cost includes all refreshments, lunch and basic requirements. This will also include use of printers, photocopying and equipment. Days marked with * will have an added cost for specialist materials or external teachers. (October – Thermafax screens charged at cost. January – External teacher – to be arranged and cost shared between Studio and participants).
Requirements for September:
White and black cotton fabric, at least one meter of each – available to buy from Studio supplies. Random items suitable for printing from, textured surfaces, sponges, any printing blocks. Thick cardboard, string, wire......items suitable for making printing blocks from. If you are working from at theme, bring your inspiration images so you can work towards fabrics that are useful for your own work.
Also please bring images for Thermofax screens, photos, drawings etc which will be sent off to have Thermofax screens made from them for next session. If in doubt bring several – can be computer files on disk or data sticks.
